Worldwide Country Music/Rockabilly singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer, Martin Glenn Barber Sr., age 73 of Gallatin passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at his home. Mr. Barber was born in Oklahoma and raised in Pasadena Texas to the late Martin and Ruby Atkinson Barber. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother J.E. Barber. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Barber, Son; Martin Glenn Barber Jr. and his wife Christina, Brother, Denzil Lerue Barber, Sisters, Gail Holifield, Billie Jean McNeely, Granddaughters, Melissa "Cory" Simpkins, Memory Barber, and Great Granddaughter Anna Moss. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Gallatin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Gallatin Funeral Home & Memory Gardens at Crestview is in charge of the arrangements.

We have lost at great entertainer. I remember listening to Glenn Barber on the radio singing “If Anyone Can Show Cause”. I have since heard some of his earlier music via the”D” Boxed Set. We will remember Glenn Barber.
