Claressia Diana Hampton, of Springfield, passed away on July 19, 2017 at age 62. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorris and JoAnn Potts, Sr., her husband, Donald Wilson Hampton, and son Joseph Nathaniel Phillips.  Survived by her daughter, Tommie Cerda; grandchildren, Rosa Cerda, Jose Guadalupe Cerda, Jr.; brothers, Dorris Potts, Jr., and his wife Cindy, Dean Potts, and sister, Donna DeLoach, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.  Visitation will be at Springfield Funeral Home, Tuesday July 25 from 2-8 pm.  Chapel service will be Wednesday July 26 at 2pm with entombment to follow at Springfield Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

      Thank you Marie , my heart is breaking, I wish we could have spent more time together, we had planned it many times. But I know she is watching over me. I remember when John died she came and stayed with me. Because she was worried about me. I miss her and it hurts so much.

    It’s always been hard for me to understand death,it hurts to see your love ones leave it makes you feel like you are all alone. But I believe in Angels because I’ve seen many and my sister I no is in Heaven with her loved ones that have done gone.Knowing her she’s saying hey I made it first. But it still doesn’t stop the pain and emptiness in my heart. I will not say goodbye just so long until we meet again. I love you Claressia Hampton , and please watch over me, so I want be so afraid. Be my guiding star when I feel lost shine bright so I no it’s you. I love you always my sister.
