Peterson, Douglas Dwayne, age 34 entered into heaven after a long and courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. Preceded in death by his brother Larry, who was there to joyfully greet him at Heavens gates. What a reunion that was as my son's were reunited free from pain and sorrow and no more burdens to bear. Doug lived life to the fullest always thanking the Lord for each day he woke and was able to make someone else smile. If you didn't love Doug, you truly didn't know him. He was the most generous, kindest, person who was always putting others first and him last. On October 28, 2005 Doug proposed to the love of his life Teresa Moore. What a glow they both shared. April 2, 2006 was to be there wedding day. To Teresa I want to thank you for the sincere love for Doug you had and giving him complete happiness before his death. "Is it April yet?". Thank you Rhonda Cope for caring for my son while I worked , and loving him as if he was your own.
