ADAMS, Ella Ruth- age 85 went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2014.
She was born in Limestone County, AL on September 1, 1928 to the late Charlie and Mary Susan Elizabeth Dison. She was a woman of faith and was a devoted member of Holiday Heights Baptist Church for more than 40 years. Ella Ruth had a natural talent for fixing anything in her home especially stoves. She had a green thumb and she loved flowers as well as her vegetable garden. Ella Ruth never met a stranger. She would help anyone and she made sure no one ever left her house hungry. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry L. Adams and son, Jimmie Dwight Adams. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Ivy (V.L.), Harry Stanley Adams (Maryanne), Diane Massey (Mervyn), Beverly Hanke (David), Teresa Wey (Gary), Paula Faye Kelley and Donna Renae Sutton (Mike); 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Brother Herbert Wilson officiating.     We love you very much!!….You were always the sweetest loving person that we ever meet…..you will be missed by many but we all know you are in a better place and are resting now….thanks for the great memories that u have left for many of us…..sadness is in our hearts because you are not here on earth with us but we all know we will see you again some day….enjoy your time in heaven with all your loved ones….rest in peace sweet lady!!

    Granny we all love u soo much and u r such a wonderful strong woman! You were a fighter and a great christian woman! I only hope i am half the woman u were! U will always be in my heart! Although my heart aches i know u r resting now and r enjoying being with pawpaw and all of the other loved ones we have lost! Gone but never forfotten! Love u Granny!
