Jimmy “Keith” Choate, age 66 of Springfield passed away June 25, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, James Carlie Choate; and his father & mother-in-law, William and Margaret Moore. Keith was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart of 47 years, Donna Moore Choate. He was dedicated and an expressingly proud Father to Jason (Jodie) and Ann-Margaret; and grandfather to Makenna, Katelyn, JJ and Carlie. He was a passionate and loving son to his mother, Marie Keith Choate, brother to Denny (Rosie Goad) Choate and Brenda (Sherman) Ellison and two sets of longtime close friends, Jerry and Pat Collins, Carol Cobb and the late Bill Cobb. Keith worked at Nasco in Springfield for 22 years. He and Donna then opened their own screen printing business in Goodlettsville, Country Screen Graphics, for 22 years and closed at the beginning of his illness. He was an honorary member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Keith was a man of Christian Faith and a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, June 28th at 3:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Carroll and Rev. Mike Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Winfield Wilkins, Wayne Jones, Sony McMahan, Lynn Keith, Jody Swearingen, Danny Bernard, Joe Armstrong and Wayne Eidson. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, June 27th from 2-6 P.M. and Sunday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
