My prayers go out to the Llewellyn family. I didn’t get to know Mindy as well as I would’ve liked but she was an amazing person. She would give me advice about anything no matter what the situation was. She was so blunt with everything and I loved her personality. I’m glad I got to know her.

Mindy was pure light in this world. A beautiful earth angel. Genuine, rawfully honest, playful, and a heart to big to measure. She could not bear to see anyone in pain. She was a friend to everyone. She loved deeply and laughed loudly. I will miss her terribly and am better because of her. I love you Mindy, and always will. Aunt Billie

Mindy, I remember when I first met you. You were so funny, and I remember thinking were going to be good friends someday and we were. I remember when you insisted on trying to teach me how to play the guitar, even though you were just learning how yourself. I’ll miss you so much Mindy. I love you and I’ll never forget you. You’re part of the reason I’m how I am today.

    Love your friend,
    Alex Moffatt

Mindy was such a special kid. From the moment my kids started at Harpeth, she was a friend. Even after we moved Mindy still kept up with them, making sure they were doing well. She was a rare and beautiful light in this dark world that sadly burned out too quickly. Rest well, sweet girl.

I think it was such a blessing that God allowed me to get to know her as a sister before her life was cut short. There are few memories I share with Mindy, but the ones I have I consider special. Just about anything that had to do with Mindy made me laugh and still fills my heart with joy when I think about them. We were very different from eachother, but we still had so many things in common that always shocked us at how much alike we were. I want to thank her family for giving me the chance to get to know her. I know that they didn’t have to let me into her life, not knowing me. But both Mindy and her parents welcomed me with open arms. Thats how I know that when Mindy made it to heaven, God welcomed her the same way. The family will always be in my prayers and in my heart.

    Hey Mindy… <3
You had no how much I loved you. I remember that first time we met back in December at the radio Christmas lights show. You were working the concessions making funnel cakes. We sat by the fire like awkward teenagers and you just spoke to me. Immediately we started talking. You were the fastest friend I ever made. I thank you for that. I only ever saw you in person twice and we played pool the whole time pretty much. Your mom made me that awesome sandwich the last time and you introduced me to slenderman. I was so scared because then I'd hav to drive home with that image, but you made me feel better and laugh it away. You opened my eyes and made me see life so differently and so much brighter, always making people laugh. You've impacted me and so many others and I will never forget you. Rest in peace and watch out for us up there, yea? <3

It was a great pleasure getting to know Mindy. She was an amazing person and golfer. I really enjoyed our time together on the course, she would always make a tough situation easier. She was a pleasure to be around no matter what. It is really a tragedy to lose such an amazing person so soon. She will be missed very much. Thank you for the Memories.

Mindy, you have changed my life. YOU have made me a better person. I cherish every moment we spent together. You have affected my every decision. My college choice. My mental strength. My faith. My love for others even if our lifestyles are polar opposites. My entire life. The rest of my life. You taught me to love. To smile even when it hurts. To cherish every single moment. Every single opportunity. I wear a rainbow striped ribbon in my hair to all my major golf tournaments. It reads, “RIP MINDY” on each strand. I have also hung one in my car for the whole world to see. Some think I’m gay. I’m not. But honestly, I don’t care what they think. You were gay. You were beautiful. Shoot, you still are. I am going to make you proud. I said I would play my heart out for you, and I did just that. I qualified for 3 USGA National Championships in 1 summer! I was 1 of only 3 women in the entire world to do so. It was all because of you. You gave me strength when I had nothing. I lead my team to back-to-back team state titles and brought home the individual crown. You made it all possible. Thank you for everything. You are missed and always loved.
