I went to East Junior and East High Schools with Carl until 1945 when I changed schools. I remember him well, even though we have not seen each other since that time.
My condolences go out to his family at this time. Tom Woodard

I was saddened to hear of Carl’s passing. Upon reflection, I knew that he had not been well physically and that perhaps it was time that his heavenly Father called him home. I remember Carl fondly. He baptized me during my college years, and even got me married once. He loved sports, and we played softball and tennis together and held free-throw shooting contests every year. He also had a kind and gentle goofiness about him which made him fun to be around. He was an excellent role model for his family and all who knew him. Just a great man who loved his Lord, his family, and his life.

To Doris and Debra, Donna, Duane and Darla, my sympathies and prayers are with you. I hope you will always remember “Carl” or “Daddy” stories and there are many which will make you smile or laugh out loud as the weeks and months go by. You have all been highly blessed to have had Carl as such an integral part of your lives.

    God’s peace to you all.

    Allan
