Howard, you will be missed by so many people. You hired me at KT, and I will always be grateful. I was divorced with a young son, and after 11 years working for Stran Buildings, found myself unemployed. It was a very uncertain and scary time, but thanks to you, I had a job that paid the bills and provided insurance for me and my son. It still doesn’t seem real that you’re not here anymore, but I know you’ve earned a special place in Heaven. Karen, I’m so sorry for what you must be going through. My prayers are with you and the boys.

Howard, Cliff, and Kyle were constant companions in our Boy Scout troop in Hendersonville not so long ago. We tromped many a mile together, including a very memorable trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico in 2001.
Howard touched the lives of our sons, as well as we adults who had the great fortune of serving as Scout leaders with him, in some very positive and lasting ways. He invariably saw the best in everyone, and did his utmost to educate the young men in his charge in constructive and lasting ways, guiding them to be as Christ-like as possible in every aspect of their lives.
The world is certainly a better place for his having been in it. We will all miss Howard McClung. Hike on!

Howard was a great boss, a friend and an outstanding person. I shared many laughs with you Howard. You taught me a lot, both as a person and as an employee. I still smile, because I can hear you calling me Rooster every morning. May you find peace and be sheltered and safe from sorrow.

Howard and I grew up together at First Baptist LaGrange, GA. I enjoyed times at church and at school with him. Howard served in my wedding as a groomsman. He was a tremendous brother in Christ and will be sorely missed. We are praying for all of his family and close friends. May his legacy cause others to know Christ.

I was sorry to learn of the passing of one of my favorite students at
Dunson Elementary in LaGrange, Georgia. I taught Howard in the fouth
grade and he was a wonderful student. I knew he would become an
understanding youg man. I loved his Mother and Father also. I am
happy to know he went to Mercer University because I also graduated from
Mercer. I enjoyed reading about his many accomplishments. May God comfort you and give you strength at this very difficult time. Your family will be in my prayers.

Howard was my immediate supervisor when I worked at Kleen-Tex. He offered me my first job in my major and my first full time job after I graduated from LaGrange College. I am grateful for that opportunity. May God bring comfort to your family.
