Zenobia and Nancy shared nursing times at Central State. We shared some social occasions together. It was always a pleasure to be around her. She was a gracious person. Over the years, Zenobia had contact by the phone. We rejoiced in her accomplishments. Zenobia’s eysight is poor now so I read the obituary to her twice today. On occasion we were around Nancy’s daughters and enjoyed that time also. 3/13/2011

My Deepest Sympathy to Nancy’s family and friends. She was my precious cousin. We had some great times together through the 76 years. She took me to the Grand Old Opera, even tho I knew she didnt’ care to go. She was like that. Your happiness came first. I just counted the pictures in my house that has Nancy in them and there are 8. Many from our childhood and others from trips I made to Tenn. She was a great hostess. We talked for hours and stitches together for hours. What great visits we had. Going to the Memorial Day program in an old, cemetery was a blast. Also the Quilting Bee at her church. We even took in the World’s Fair. She knew more about the history of Tenn. than anyone on a tour. I am so glad I have so many great memories. I am sorry we didn’t get to see each other the past several years. She will always be in my heart. I know God has a special place for her.

One special memory is that of Nancy staying with me & Barry while Mama and Daddy drove to Nebraska for a family funeral. We had such a good time with her being our babysitter. I started calling her “Aunt” Nancy during that week. She was more like a sister to me over the years and I loved her dearly. Nancy was the glue that kept the 5 cousins together and in touch. I will truly miss her.
