James Theodore Ruof suddenly passed on 4-25-2013. Mr. Ruof is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret Sherrill Ruof; daughter Sally Ruof Myers Stan of Collierville, TN; and son James Theodore Ruof Pam of Guthrie, Oklahoma and 6 grandchildren. Ted was born in Lancaster, PA on 10-11-31 to Herman Albert Ruof and Ella Mae Stanley Ruof. He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and served 2 years in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Ruof retired from Ideal Industries. A friend to many, he was always quick to lend a helping hand. Ted was also very active with his beloved church family. A Memorial service will be held at Forest Hills United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 at 3 pm with Dr. Jim Hughes officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.afamilylegacy.com. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Forest Hills UMC Building Fund.

    I was so sad to hear about Ted’s passing. He was a great man that I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know! I know that exercise will not be the same with out him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    This is a very bad shock for me. Ted and I knew each other for many, many years. I regret that I learned too late.
