    1. April Nelson Oaks says:

Thelma was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. I knew her from First Christian Church where my mother was secretary for many years, and then later became a member. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to her, whether at FCC or in the community. May you find comfort and peace during this very difficult time ,knowing she is with her Lord, her reward for a life well lived.

      • Frank Limpus says:

Thanks, April, for the sweet remembrance of mom. She loved First Christian and your mom. I remember your mom as well the years I attended there.

    2. Russ Trotter and Family says:

My memories of Ms. Thelma Limpus go back a long way when my family was living on Tynemouth Rd. In the early ’60s.
She was a very personable and gracious lady, and one of my Mom’s (Clarice Trotter) favorite people. A lot of
“water’s gone under the bridge” since then, but she did come to a memorial service for my aunt (Barbara Boykin) in June, 2009. We enjoyed seeing her, and we did a lot of reminiscing about the old days. Knowing her was a real pleasure and great privilege. My condolences to the Limpus family … you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Russ, thanks for the very nice memories of mom. Some of the best times of our lives were spent in that neighborhood, with you guys on Tynemouth and our family on McDonald Dr. Lots of football, baseball games, biking and all sorts of play in and around our houses. Mom and Dad always enjoyed your parents and if memory serves me correctly mom would occasionally see your sister and catch up with her while picking up lunch or dinner at Buddy’s. It’s always hard to lose parents, but we rejoice that we’ll see them again in heaven. Give our best to your family.
