Victoria Ann Honea, age 56 of Springfield, passed away at NorthCrest Medical Center.

She was born in Gainesville, Florida to John Howard and Weda Albritton Poston. She graduated as a Medical Assistant from Nashville Medical College in 1978 and married the man of her dreams and best friend, Mr. Stephen Honea on April 10, 1987 and welcomed a son, Jonathan on May 22, 1990. Her career set them up for a blessing that joined them ten years ago, their daughter Jo Ann.

Vickie loved taking care of others, not just her family but her church and community with her patience and loving nature. Her organization skills kept Steve and Jonathan in line, most of the time. They enjoyed playing dirty Santa on Christmas, eating at Demo’s for their Anniversary and Wednesdays where Spa Day with Manicures and Pedicures. Vacations every year were spent at beautiful beaches like St Augustine, Florida with the entire family and special vacations to Melbourne Beach. These special trips will be treasured memories forever.

Vickie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for all things purple, her Christian faith and the care she gave to others.

Vickie was reunited with her father, John Howard Poston who passed away two years ago. She loved him dearly and missed him every day. The family can only imagine the reunion with her earthly and heavenly fathers.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Honea of 32 years; son, Jonathan A. Honea and daughter, Joe Ann Scribner Honea; mother, Weda Poston; mother and father- in-law, Mary (Gene) Wall; sisters, Teresa Tharpe, Cynthia Wood and Ramona Poston; sister and brother- in-laws, Ricky Honea, Becky Cook, Tim Honea and Alfread Honea; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends that will miss her dearly.

A Life Celebration well be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 4pm with Pastor Robert Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday form 10am until the time of service. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the City of Faith Building Fund: 1001 Goldcrest Drive Springfield, TN 37172.
