Alice T. Wheeler- age 96 went to be with the Lord June 16, 2014.
Mrs. Wheeler, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend, was a charter member of Dalewood Baptist Church in Nashville, a Sunday school teacher & choir member. She was also a member of Bluegrass Baptist & Hendersonville First Baptist. She was a long time AQHA member with a great love of horses and an artist.
She is preceded in death by husband, Charles A. Wheeler, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Wheeler Linder; sister, Janet Settle; brother, Morris Thorne. Survived by her children, Geneiva Ballou ( Lynn) & Tim Wheeler (Lois); grandchildren, Stephanie Ballou, Ashlea Stone (Ron), Winston Ballou, Kole Wheeler, Katelyn Pepper & Taylor Pepper; great grandchildren, Clara Stone & Addilyn Wheeler; special friends, Dot Carr & Roy Gleaves; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 1:00pm Wednesday June 18th at Hendersonville First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Tuesday at funeral home & 12:00pm - 1:00pm Wednesday at church.
