Amy Leanne Summers, born on July 10, 1980, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Nashville, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished wife, sister, daughter, and aunt, whose life was marked by kindness, intelligence, and an unwavering fighting spirit.
Professionally, Amy made her mark in Operations Banking at Studio Bank, where she combined her sharp mind with her caring nature to serve others effectively. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career that matched her dedication and work ethic.
Amy was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed time spent watching Ole Miss Football, immersing herself in the excitement of the games. Her love for the arts was evident through her enthusiasm for Broadway shows, where she found joy in the magic of storytelling and performance. She cherished her musical roots, delighting in playing the piano, a skill she inherited from her father, Neal Summers, who preceded her in death.
Her vibrant personality shone through in her hobbies and interests. Amy loved working on puzzles and challenging herself in escape rooms, always demonstrating her strategic thinking. When her sisters played Clue, they quickly learned that Amy was always six moves ahead, often securing victory in the game.
Family was at the heart of Amy’s life. She held close connections with her wife, Katy McCaulla, and their beloved fur baby, Maggie. As the loving daughter of Terry H. Summers and the proud sister of Susan (Randy) McCullough, Karen (Brian Jorgensen) Summers, and Julie Summers, she created countless treasured memories with her family. Amy enjoyed being an aunt, a role she cherished deeply with her nephew—Brennon (Madyson) Jorgensen and later adding John Mac Peters, Jenna Kate Peters, and Cooper Bishop which were an endless source of pride for her.
Her familial love extended to her parents-in-law, Mike and Pam McCaulla, and her sister-in-laws, Kelly (John) Peters and Kristy (Jeremy) Bishop, along with a host of extended family who will also remember her fondly.
The celebration of Amy’s life will take place on November 24, 2025, with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN.
