Joyce Coggin Dallas age 66 of Greenbrier, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

Betty Joyce Coggin was born on September 24, 1953 to the late Lanny Ross Coggin, Sr., and Betty Clair Quates Coggin in Jacksonville, FL. She was a graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors Degree. Joyce retired from the State of Tennessee as a Unit Manager for the Department of Correction, she was a proud to be a member of the American Correctional Association, the T.S.E.A., and First Baptist Church Joelton.

Joyce was blessed with 5 nieces and nephews that were as much her children as her siblings. She enjoyed going on family vacations with the family to Gulf Shores and keeping her nephew when he was little during the summer. Some believe her influence was the reason Tommy pursued a career in law enforcement.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dallas and sister, June Griffith.

She is survived by her siblings, Lanny Ross Coggin, Jr., Guy (Kathy) Coggin, Carol Coggin and David Coggin; 5 nephews and nieces and a host of extended family.

A Life Celebration will be held on October 13th at 6pm with Brother Michael Spitzer officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4pm until the time of service Online condolences can be made at
