Bobby Dean Halliburton, 80, of Cedar Hill, TN passed away Friday October 27, 2017 at his home. Born in Nashville, September 11, 1937, he was the son of the late Horace David Halliburton and Robbie Mae Bates. Bobby was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Billy Gene Halliburton. Bobby was a career military man having served 40 years. He began as a member of the US Army and later transferred over to the Air Force where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant by the time of his retirement. Bobby served during the Vietnam War where he was exposed to Agent Orange. He was a strong supporter and advocate for veterans' initiatives throughout his life. Bobby was also known as a fiercely loyal friend. He was a devoted and loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Bobby is survived by his children, Penny Jean Witham (Troy James Kaukas), Kimberly Jo Kimbro, William D. Halliburton (Kimberly P. Halliburton) and Kenneth Nelson Halliburton; his grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Witham, Stephanie Dawn Witham, Kirstin Kennedy, Lindsey Marie Halliburton, Hannah Halliburton, David Halliburton, Jayce Halliburton, Dana Halliburton, Kristy Harmon, Amanda Little, Joseph Kimbro and Kevin Kimbro; his great-grandchildren, Justice Smith, Journie Haley, Jerzie Mae Haley, Jaylie Haley, Jaycie Haley, Jade Taylor Witham, Jalen Thomas Witham, Tristen Little, Amy Little, Haley Little and Zooey Flippo; two sisters, Barbara Landis and Beverly Halliburton. and also his beloved dog, Pepper. A Life Celebration Service with full military honors will be held at Springfield Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2 pm. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 am until 2 pm.
