Bobby Joe Prince, born on April 12, 1941, in Princeton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 19 2024, in Greenbrier, Tennessee. He was a man of unwavering dedication, both in his professional life and family relationships, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love.
Bobby Joe devoted many years of his life to serving others first as a Goodlettsville Fire Fighter, embodying the essence of courage and commitment to his community. In addition to this noble profession, he spent 50 years working in dredge manufacturing alongside his son, a partnership that not only strengthened their bond but also allowed them to travel the world as they installed dredges together.
He was a passionate individual with a zest for life who brought his family together through shared activities. Bobby Joe created treasured memories while fishing and camping with his son, as well as attending car shows with his son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His enthusiasm for racing was matched by his love for woodworking, and just weeks prior to his passing, he had acquired a '54 Chevy 2 Door Belair, eagerly ordering parts to work on it with his son.
Bobby Joe graduated from High School in Caldwell County, Kentucky, and further honed his skills by attending Nashville Auto Diesel College where he met his wife Jewell. Those who knew him regarded Bobby Joe as a good guy who believed in hard work and providing for his family. He was known for his straightforward nature; when he gave his word, it was as solid as a guarantee.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Garrett (Autumn) Prince; grandson, Teddy Joe Prince, and Cody Lee Pankow; great-grandchildren, Savannah Searcy, Rylee Hale, Bransen Pankow, Jaycee Jordan, Byntlee Jordan, Brettlee Pankow, Braxlee Pankow; as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Bobby Joe has been reunited in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Jewell Dean Prince, his parents Charlie and MaeBelle Prince and his grandchildren, Shawna Pankow and Matthew Pankow, who preceded him in passing.
