Brenda Gail Johnson, age 70 of Springfield, passed away on January 10, 2020 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

She was born on August 9, 1949 to the late Charlie William and Anna Marie Osborne at their home in Cedar Hill. Brenda was described as a kind and helpful person. She inspired two co-workers to reach beyond what they thought they were able to do not only to get their GED but also learning how to drive. She was dedicated to her Jesse Holman Jones and NorthCrest Medical Center Family; she retired with 35 years of service.

Brenda loved to read and her sister, Linda can remember countless days spent on the front porch of their home on 5th Ave, reading and swapping library books. Her adventurous nature took her traveling all over the United States when she was younger and gave her stories to tell her daughters. In the years to come, Brenda enjoyed spotting yard sales with her daughter and spending her time with her grandchildren.

Brenda will be remembered by her loving and funny personality along with the love she had for her family.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brother, Billy Osborne.

She is survived by Life Partner of 30 years, Enrique Henry Toca; daughters, Dana (Steve) Moon and Kellie Jo Hamm; grandchildren Justin (Chaley) Hamm, Kaleb (Brittany) Moon, Amber Hamm and Kayla Moon; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Johnson.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 2pm with Brother Alan Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
