Cathy Myers

Cathy S. Myers age 67 of Keysburg, KY passed away on March 29, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
She was born October 14, 1950 in Louisville, KY to Claude and Marcella. Her childhood was full of love and laughter, spending from sun up to sun down with Linda and her brothers at Triangle Park in Louisville. Linda and Cathy were born 7 days apart making them best friends even called twins on most Sunday mornings, matching their clothes even though they never talked about what they would wear. This friendship was tried and true and continued through the ages.
Cathy worked for 15 years as the property manager of Robinwood Park Apartments in Russellville. She retired 6 years ago. She was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and was determine to fight and to win her battle.
Cathy was descried as caring, loving, witty and outgoing. She enjoyed and loved her Keysburg Baptist Church and the Church Family. She loved spending a rainy day inside reading or playing games on her Kindle. On a beautiful spring day, you would find her and her daughter, Selinda, and grandson, Griggs fishing. Her love for her family ran deep, she spent as much time as possible with her daughters, grandchildren and sweet Ella Rose.
She enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains and St. Augustine but her favorite place was her Little White house in Keysburg surrounded by her pets.
She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Hall and mother and step-father, Marcella and Claude McKinney.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Selinda Whigam of Russellville, KY and Beth Gilbert of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Ian-Patric (Whitney) Whigam and Griggs M. (Abby) Whigam, II, and Courtney (Chris) Beckley; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Rose Whigam and sister, Linda Johnson.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2pm in the Chapel of Keysburg Baptist Church: 15760 Orndorff Mill Road, Olmstead, KY 42265, with Brother Jimmy Chapman officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, April 7th from noon umtil the time of service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Keysburg Baptist Church in memory of Cathy.
