Clara Lorine King, age 83 of Greenbrier, passed away on June 26, 2022, at NorthCrest Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 28, 1939, to the late Clemmie White in Dothan, Alabama. She married the man of her dreams, Mr. Benjamin King on January 1, 1960 and they were blessed with two girls. Mrs. King worked for many years as a Librarian Assistant before retiring. Her love for sewing led her to make the girls' dresses and Barbie accessories.
Family dinner brought everyone to the table for her wonderful cooking not only when her girls were little but later with the grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and made sure they knew every day how much she appreciated them. Mrs. King loved reading Nicholas Sparks books, listening to Vern Goslin and Gene Watson music but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior. She did her best giving to those in need and being kind to everyone around her.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. King is preceded in death by her two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin King; children, Lisa (James) Maule and Kathy Carroll; grandchildren, Lauren Maule, Robert (Rachel) Maule, Bethany Carroll, and Braden Carroll; great-grandson, Rowan Maule.
A Private Entombment will be held later at the Garden Mausoleum of Springfield Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Isaish 117 House in Springfield.
