Cloyd Stone

Cloyd Gene Stone "Red", age 81 of Greenbrier passed away April 8, 2015. Mr. Stone was born on November 10, 1933 in Grayville, Illinois to the late James and Stella Stone. He was retired from the CSX Railroad after 44 years of service and was a member of Hillview Baptist Church in Goodlettsville. He will be remembered as a man who loved his wife and family dearly and was a huge fan of Hank Williams, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde and Roger Stone and sisters, Lucy Stone and Betty Jo Smith. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Valerie "Bonnie" Stone; children, Kevin Stone, Darrell Stone, Kelly Stone, Donna (Chris) Martinez, Karen (Ken) Cavanaugh, Darlene (Mark) Gerke, and James (Katie) Pete; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Moore and Sarah Williams; brothers, Tony and Howard Stone; and special friends, Pam and Jim Zawada and Arles Green. A life celebration service will be held on Monday, April 13th at 6:00 P.M. from the Hillview Baptist Church, 1268 Springfield Hwy, Goodlettsville, TN with Bro. Josh Brown officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
