Springfield
Donald L. Patterson, age 82, of White House, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center.
Born on January 6, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, Don was the son of the late David Elzie and Margie Ellis Patterson. He retired from Nissan after many years of dedicated service and was a faithful member of Abundant Grace Fellowship.
Don loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter who enjoyed pursuing deer, turkey, wild boar, and many other types of game. He was a devoted sports fan, especially when it came to football, and proudly cheered on both the Tennessee Titans and the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He also had a deep appreciation for bluegrass music and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life spent with family and friends.
Above all, Don's greatest joy was his family. Whether sharing stories, attending gatherings, or simply spending time together, he treasured every moment with those he loved. His kindness, dedication, and love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bro. Jimmy Patterson; sister, Bonita Lee; and son-in-law, P.R. West.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Shannon Patterson of White House, Tennessee; son, Shane Patterson of Springfield, Tennessee; daughter, Tammy West of Adams, Tennessee; step-son, Mike Melton of Readyville, Tennessee; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, in the chapel of Springfield Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday.
The family invites those attending to join them in remembering and celebrating a life well lived, filled with faith, family, friendship, and a love for the outdoors.
