Donna Preston

Donna Marie Preston, age 76 of Springfield passed away on January 21, 2020 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Donna was born on September 22, 1943 to the late Leo and Elanor Bernice Girardin in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She worked for many years at a Diary Farm and also at Hinkle Chair Company.
She was described as a loving and strong woman. Donna enjoyed word search puzzles, painting by numbers and playing bingo. Throughout hardships in Donnas life she didn't slow down or waver from her Christian beliefs. Donna had a loving heart and always had a smile on her face. Some of the girl's favorite memories were when they were little coloring Easter Eggs, her watching RJ when he was little and her riding around town doing for herself.
Donna will forever be remembered as a loving mom, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her son, Sam Preston, Jr.; the father of her children, Sam H. Preston; brother, Carol D. Stover, Jr.; grandson, RJ Manley.
She is survived by her children, Penny Hudson, Cynthia Graves, Connie Diviney, and Scotty Preston; sisters, Linda Clinemand, Maraline Jenson and Marion Reis; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Frank Gagliano officiating, burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12-2pm until the time of service.
