Eddie Dean McCord, age 71 of Adairville, Kentucky surrounded by his family.

Dean was born on May 17, 1948 to the late Joe Hardy and Ethel Lee Sharp McCord in Franklin, Tennessee. He married the love of his life on June 25, 1966 Ms. Jackie Howell and they were blessed with three girls and one boy. He worked for many years as a maintenance man for Electrolux before he retired to spend more time with his family, enjoying coffee with the Adairville Social Club and going fishing.

In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his siblings, JT McCord, LC McCord, Luther McCord, Evelyn McEwing, Howard McCord, Delbert McCord and JC McCord.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Jackie Howell McCord; children, Leigh Anne McCord, Teresa (Shelly Frith) McCord; Kelley (Timmy) Simmons, and Jason Bubba McCord; grandchildren, Samantha Dawn Whitaker, Shawn Thomas Spivey, and Paris Anne Spivey; brother, Reece McCord and his faithful rabbit, Bunny.

A Private Life Celebration will be held at Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Brent Johnson and Brother BJ Barnes officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Dozier, Bobby (Faye) Gainous, Dan Stratton, Dale Spivey, James Martin and Nathan Whitaker.

Due to Covid-19 the family will have his bass boat in the parking lot of Springfield Funeral Home from 11-1pm on Tuesday for friends and extended family to come by and sign. Online condolences can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com
