GRIZZELL, Elizabeth Boone Neikirk Age 86, passed away October 27, 2013. She was a great woman who loved to garden and was often accused of having 10 green thumbs. She graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She loved to teach and read and taught High School English in Fairborn, Ohio. She was a Christian woman who was very active in her church and loved to be surrounded by her family and grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents, Theodore Boone and Marie Wheeler Neikirk; brothers John Neikirk and Robert Neikirk; and her husband of 63 years, James Orin Grizzell, Jr. Survived by her brother Richard (Joan) Neikirk of Little Rock, AR and sister-in-law Peggy Neikirk of Cordova, TN; children, Susan (Stan) Symons of Wamego, KS, James (Yvonne) Orin Grizzell III of Park Ridge, IL, Kirk (Sue) Grizzell of Hendersonville, TN and Leslie (Rick) Carey of Lynnfield, MA; 7 grandchildren, Taylor Symons, James (Jimmy) O. Grizzell IV, Annie Grizzell, Dylan Grizzell, Justine Grizzell, Eric Carey, and Allison Carey. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
