Evelyn Novel Allen age 79 of Nashville, passed away on January 5, 2019 at her home.

She was born on July 1, 1939 to the late Albert and Emma Routin. Mrs. Evelyn was described as a caring and loving woman. She enjoyed cooking sewing and reading her bible. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than words could describe. Her ability to care for others and show compassion truly made her unique.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Allen; son, Jerry Steven Brown and siblings, Bobby Routin and Dorothy Ramsey.

She is survived by her children, Cathy (David ) May, Savanah (James) Evans, Kenneth R. Allen. Jr., Pamela West, and Mike Kelton; grandchildren, Mark C. Graves, Ashley Graves, Heather Sardell, Billy Ray Ogg, Amber Nicole Schmidt, Savannah Hope Allen, Alanah Allen, Logan Allen Zachary Allen, Melissa Kelton and Sherry West; and 13 great-grandchildren and brother, Albert (Betty) Routin.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00pm with Brother Gene Dame officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 -8:00pm then again on Wednesday from 11:00am until the time of service.
