It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip Gabriel Hardy, a beloved son, brother, friend, and cherished member of the community. Gabriel was born on July 28, 2005, in Nashville, TN, and he left us on July 9, 2025, in Greenbrier, TN. He demonstrated a kind-hearted spirit and unique personality that touched all who knew him.
Gabriel was a proud graduate of Springfield High School in 2023 and had plans to pursue further education at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He aspired to make a difference in the world, considering a career in service, inspired by his mother’s legacy in nursing. He also expressed interests in teaching and working with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, showing his love for the great outdoors and all types of wildlife.
Among his many passions, Gabriel enjoyed playing Valorant, demonstrating his playful and competitive nature. He loved soccer and was known by his father, Ray Hardy, as the best driver. He found joy in drawing and had a steadfast interest in musical instruments, as well as a unique hobby of collecting knives. These interests added layers to his personality, enriching the lives of those around him.
Gabriel is survived by his father, Ray Hardy; siblings, Jacob Ray (Madalyn Grace Galloway) Hardy and Shelby Hardy; grandmother, Anne Hardy; best friends, Andy Carmondy and Chloe Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Gabriel was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Beasley Hardy, and his grandparents, I.J. & Phyllis Beasley. Their absence leaves a profound void, but the love and legacy they instilled in Gabriel will continue through his family and friends.
The family invites all who knew and loved Gabriel to celebrate his life at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center. The visitation will be held on July 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Gabriel's final resting place will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens with his mother.
