She graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1945, and subsequently worked in their admissions office before she married the love of her life Richard Y. Newton in 1947.
Grace and Richard moved to the Schenectady, NY area, where Richard was an engineer at General Electric and raised 4 children before moving to Hendersonville, TN in 1969.

Grace loved gardening, cooking, and travelling the world, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Grace was very active even in her last days, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
