Harry "Benny" Lee- age 75 of Hendersonville passed away April 10, 2014. He was born in New York, NY to the late Harry G. and Nellie Lee on February 18, 1939.
As a young man he honorably served in the U.S. Air Force as a radio technician E-4. He was a graduate of the University of Syracuse ITHICA with a Bachelor's of Mathematics. Benny then went to work for the Department of Public Housing in New York as a Statistician retiring after 22 years. In his spare time he enjoyed classical music, Astronomy, space movies, was an eclectic collector and loved anything to do with electronics especially computers. He will forever be remembered as a dignified quiet gentleman who was meticulous to a fault. He truly had a beautiful mind and loved strong behind the scenes. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by brother-in-law, James R. King; nieces, Tanya L. King-Temple and Trinya Arnold (James); great-neices and nephews, Chazz, Brandon, Brittany, Dallas, Breana, James, Jr.; great-great nephew, Noah and a host of other relatives also survive.
A life celebration service will be held on April 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
