Heidemarie Nancy Wiley passed away on February 13.2017 at her daughters home on rose street in Greenbrier, TN. She was surrounded by her Mother, Daughter and Granddaughter at the time of passing. Nancy was loved by many and beloved by most.
Born in Germany on January 12, 1964 to mother Heidemarie Kelley, she was the oldest of 4 siblings. She graduated from college with a bachelor's degree from California. She went on to marry and have one child. She enjoyed working as a legal secretary, for Mink & Duke law firm in Nashville, TN for over 20 years. Everyone at the Firm was her second family.
Nancy lived a life that endured a lot of tragedy and hardship, however you couldn't tell by her bubbly, sweet and loving personality. She lit up a room with her smile and loud laugh that carried. She was a dedicated mother, with unfailing love and unbreakable bond. She raised her daughter single handedly. She taught her daughter self respect, strength, love, and how to survive anything.
Nancy became a grandmother for the first time in 2008 (preceded in death Alexis Smith). She went on to have 3 grandchildren that she cherished immensely. She was a great mother, but, even greater grandmother. Her best friend was her grandson, Carson Smith. They were inseparable since he was born in 2009. She adored her granddaughter Kinsley Smith as well. There was no greater love that Nancy possessed then the love she had for her grandchildren. Her lasting memories and wisdom will carry on in them for a lifetime.
Nancy had a very close knit family who she loved through the good and the bad. She was their protector, their mentor and the knot that held them all together. She lived life for her family. She fought for her family and she died loving her family.
Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2013. She had a double mastectomy and chemo and radiation for 6 months following. She never skipped a day of work during her first fight with cancer. She lived like she would never die. Her strength, confidence and unfailing faith got her to "remission" in summer of 2014. Unfortunately, the cancer came back with a vengeance on January 20, 2017 having multiple tumors in her brain, spine, lungs, and liver. She was placed in hospice care after 2 short stays at Skyline Medical Center. She passed away in the care of Alive Hospice on February 13.2017.
Nancy never lost her faith, never stopped believing she could fight and win again, against the horrible disease named cancer. She never stooped smiling, never stopped laughing and never gave up. When she took her last breath she knew she had She fought the good fight, she won the battle and now she was getting a new home and restored health and body in heaven with her creator.
Nancy leaves behind her one and only daughter Christina Wiley; grandchildren, (Alexis Daniele Smith- passed away in 2008), Carson Dee Smith, Kinsley Brooke Smith; mother, Heidemarie Kelly and Father Larry Kelly; siblings, Christina Holden ( Keith Holden- passed away in 2016), Jimmy Seitz, George Seitz, niece Kelli (Joe Haley) Petty, nephew Logan Petty, great-niece Lillian Haley, great-nephew Tristin Rutland and her second family Tom Mink and Marty Duke, Chelsea, Josh, Will and Dana. Along with a multitude of friends she made along her 53 year journey through life.
Nancy will be missed by all of her friends and family for a lifetime, until we all meet again very soon!
Although you're gone, I'm not alone,
And never shall I be,
For the precious memories of the bond we shared
Will never depart from me.

Our love surpassed the ups and downs
And helped us along the way,
And that same love will give me strength
To manage this loss each day.

On my mind and in my heart,
Mom, you shall forever be,
For just as much as I am a part of you,
You are a part of me!
I will always love you mom, forever and always!
