Jack Lampman- age 86 of Hendersonville passed away February 15, 2014.
He was born May 18, 1927 in Hornell, NY. As a young man he enlisted in the Army and served our country proudly in the Korean War. For most of his working life Jack was an inspector for Bethlehem Steel and retired after 30 years of service. Jack loved people and could always lighten anyone's spirit. He was thoughtful, funny, kind and most of all genuine. He had many passions throughout his life which included flying, traveling, driving his tractor, spending time with his family, sitting on his porch in his rocking chair and watching TV, especially his favorite movie Heaven's Door. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lampman. He is survived by his children, Gary L. Lampman, Carol A. Lampman, Denise E. Ward, Diane M. Vaden, John R. Lampman and Darlene M. Prowell; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Lester Lampman and Wayne Curtis Lampman.
A life celebration service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8p.m. and Tuesday from 12-1p.m. at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855 springfieldfh.wpengine.com
