James Randal Carr, born on April 12, 1961, in Springfield, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his hometown on April 14, 2026. Over the course of his 65 years, Randy embodied unwavering dedication, a vibrant spirit, and a generous heart, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Randy's career spanned an impressive 38 years at Electrolux, where his steadfast work ethic and commitment were exemplary. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a man rich in character, full of life, laughter, and love. Those close to him remember a man who loved deeply and without reservation, a devoted husband and father whose humor and playful spirit brought joy into every room.
Family was the cornerstone of Randy’s life. He found great happiness in serving those he loved, whether that meant sharing rides on his beloved Harley Davidson while listening to the southern rock sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pink Floyd or simply cherishing quiet moments together in worship and praise. His faith was central to his being, and his proudest moment came in 1997 when he was baptized. From that day forward, he celebrated his faith loudly and passionately, inspiring others to embrace their worship authentically and freely.
Randy was a man of God, known for being selfless, strong, trustworthy, and hardworking, a true provider for his family. His resilience and fighting spirit were evident in all aspects of his life, and he held deeply to his role as a husband, dad, and "Pops." His excitement for new life was palpable, particularly as he eagerly awaited the arrival of a new family member in September, a bundle of joy that would have brought immense happiness to his heart.
He will be remembered not only for his many admirable qualities but also for the warmth he shared with those around him—his jokes, his dedication to family, and his unwavering love. James Randal Carr’s legacy is one of strength, faith, and unfaltering devotion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tina Carr; children, Justin Carr, Destiny (Cody) Choate, Taylor (Shelby) Carr, and Hanna (Noah) Leighton; grandchildren, Taits Choate, Willow Hanna, Ellie Castillo, Brayleigh Jarman; siblings Rex Carr and Rita Carr.
In addition to his parents, Raz and Helen Carr, Randy is preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Carr.
His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him, yet his spirit, lessons, and love will endure in their hearts forever.Randy’s journey may have ended, but the memory of his life’s richness and his true-to-himself worship will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
