Joshua Cathey

Joshua Wayne Cathey, age 36 of Cedar Hill, passed away on April 30, 2022 at Bolivar General Hospital.

He was born on September 30. 1985 to Deborah Cathey and the late Douglas Tomlin in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Josh enjoyed spending time fishing and working with his hands. He worked for many years as a mechanic and flooring technician. Over the years it wasn’t uncommon for Josh to drop everything he was doing and help family or those around him.

Out of everything Josh loved his son Jr and the time spent with him.

In addition to his dad, Josh is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Helen and Bill Tomlin; maternal grandparents, Walter Cathey and Elizabeth & Wallace Louallen; siblings, Shane Cathey and Kimberly Cathey Knight.

He is survived by his son, Jr Cathey and his mom, Jessica Cathey; mother, Deborah and H Cathey-Roberts; brother, Rocky Cathey; nephew, Dakota Cathey, Michael Lee Smith, David Knight; nieces, Kristina Knight, Danielle Cathey, Brandy Knight and Marigold Cathey and his favorite aunt, Joyce Hunter.

A Life Celebration will be held at 6pm on Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3pm until the time of service. Online condolences and floral tributes can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com
