Juanita Brooksher Kennedy, age 80 of Goodlettsville, passed away on September 25, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center.

She was born on September 1, 1939 to the late Joseph and Mary Chandler Brooksher in Adams, TN.

Mrs. Kennedy was described as a caring and giving woman; she loved helping others as they went through hard times and tried to fix the problem. She brought comfort and understanding to those that sought her loving understanding. Her passion for making things better led her to become a housekeeper at TN Christian Care. She believed that everything had a place and that a tidy home would make you happy.

Her weekends were spent at yard sales and cooking for her family. Spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy, she was so proud of their accomplishments and would tell anyone that would give her just five minutes.

Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed redecorating her home, which could mean adding something new from Goodwill to moving furniture from one room to another. Most afternoons you could find her watching soap operas like "The Young and The Restless" or "The Bold and the Beautiful." She loved to go out to eat at Cracker Barrell where she had just celebrated her eightieth birthday with her family. These memories along with many more will be treasured for years to come.

She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, sister and NaNa.

In attention to her parents, Mrs. Kennedy is preceded in death by her husband, William Kennedy; two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Janice Wilkins, Wanda Shoulders, Mary Jo Watson and Dwayne (Jackie) Baker; grandchildren, Michelle Burton, Kelly Baker, Amanda Opthof, Brian Hedgecoth, Nathan Arnold, Tina Bottorff, Jason Baker, Jonathan Baker, Cody Baker, Crystal Malugin, Amber Powell, Danny Wilkins, Jr, Bobby Wilkins, Darryl Wilkins; 32 great grandchildren; and siblings, Inez Allen, Sue Dempsey and Elsie McKinney.

A Life Celebration will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 2pm with Pastor Mike Myrick officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Paul Jenkins, Coty Tobitt, Chris Adkins, Nathan Arnold, Austin Owen and Dan Opthof. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 29th from 2-8pm then again on Monday from 10am until the time of service.

These arrangements were entrusted to Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center 4005 Memorial Blvd Springfield TN 37172: 615-384-5437: www.SpringfieldFH.com.
