Judy Capps

Judy Marie Capps, age 74 of Greenbrier, when to her heavenly home September 23, 2021.  She was born in Nashville, TN on June 10, 1947 to the late Joseph Bailey and Ruth Frances Dunn.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Dunn.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Capps; son, Chris (Susan) Capps; daughter, Tracey (Bo) White; grandchildren, Matthew Capps, Bryan Capps, J.C. White, Autum White, Crystal Phelps, Steven Phelps; great-grandchildren, Laynee, Collins, Gatlin, Gracie, Amaraye, Austin, Haley, Aaron, Nick, Damian, Karson, Koby; sisters, Jane Capps, JoAnn Mitchell, and Jackie Swift.  Judy was retired from Nashville Dental after over 30 years of service.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Ridgetop, where she taught Sunday School.  Judy was a great cook, and loved to cook her Sunday meals, and was well known for her fantastic white beans, cornbread, and sweet tea.  Visitation will be at Springfield Funeral Home on Sunday September 26 from 2-6 pm, and on Monday September 27 from 1pm until service at 2pm with Rev. Ralph Carter and Rev. Michael Duff, officiating.  Interment will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
