Mr. Larry Parks, Sr.; passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1951 in Sumner County TN to the late Jodie and Mary Anna Parks. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Jean Reynolds Parks, and one grandson, Daniel B. Dugger, Jr.

Larry loved his big family and always wanted to spend time with them. He also loved anything to do with old cars. He spent a lot of his time building things, anything he could get his hands on. He was a hardworking man and would work from sun up to after the sun was down. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Pitt Parks; children, Jeanne Parks Cohea (Richard), Stephannie Parks Dugger (Danny), Larry Parks, Jr. (Kim), Timothy Parks, Ray Buntin (Linda), Dana Buntin Sloan (Roy), and Jama Buntin Vanderheyden (Jay); 18 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

A life celebration will be held 2pm Tuesday, October 10 at Springfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8pm and again on Tuesday from 12-2pm. Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Springfield Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
