Lula H. Smith, age 85 of Springfield passed away September 5, 2016 at NHC in Springfield. Mrs. Smith was born on May 14, 1931 in Logan County, Kentucky to the late Harvey and Ethel Braswell. Her family described her as always loving and happy; she loved to joke and cut up with people, flowers, fishing with her husband and riding around in the snow. She loved the Lord and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 9 siblings; grandsons, Jason and Brian Vincent; son-in-law, Michael Vincent and her husband of 52 years, Clifton C. Smith, who was her one and only true love. She is survived by her children, Ricky L. Smith, Faye Parrigin (Larry) and Vickie Vincent; grandchildren, Michael S. Parrigin, Corey Parrigin (Crystal) and Chris Vincent; and great-grandchild, Cooper Parrigin. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 10:00 A.M. in Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 7th from 4-8 P.M. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
