BRINKLEY, Mary L. - Age 85 of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2013. Mrs. Brinkley was a nurturing, loving, kind woman that always took care of everyone. She was everything you could ever want in a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved gardening, crocheting, cooking, flowers and most of all being with her family. She was a great Christian woman that will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her parents, George & Avo Butler; brothers, Rubert Butler & Robert Butler; sisters, Willie Mae Austin, Frances Booth & Margaret McCord. Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Edgar Lee Brinkley; children, Kenneth Brinkley, Sr. & Karen Brons (Gary); grandchildren, Kenneth Brinkley, Jr. (Mallory), Scott Brinkley (Elisa), Brandy Brinkley, Mitch Brons & Hunter Brons; great-grandchildren, Megan Brinkley, Meredith Brinkley, Mollie Brinkley & Chase Brinkley; sister, Vernon Griffin, of Dickson, TN. A Life Celebration will be held 11am Tuesday at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
