Obituary

Mychael Lynelle Mucker was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 4th, 1989. She was gifted from God to Trina Michele Mucker Clay (Reginald O. Clay), and the late Michael Dwayne Cooper (Alisha). She entered into rest on April 8th, 2026, at her home in Coopertown, Tennessee. Mychael preceded in death by her brother, Dante’ Lemont Mucker.

She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories to her loving wife, Dakota Smith Mucker; her in-laws, Mark Smith (Beth) and Dylani Winfrey (Austin). She also leaves her mother, Trina Michele Mucker Clay (Reginald O. Clay), and Joyce McGinnis (Nanny). She also leaves her brother, DAndre L. Mucker; stepbrother, Enrico C. Clay; and sister, Joycelyn R. Mucker. Her stepsisters include Shacola D. Clay (Lynn) and Eyonna Kilgore. She leaves her love and cherished memories to her two special nephews, DyaRon L. Grundy and Dakota L. Mucker, whom she raised as her own, and special niece Brooklen, her Germany Baby. She also leaves to cherish several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, coworkers, cousins, godparents, and loved ones who will remember her beautiful smile.

Mychael attended grade school at JR Baker and middle school at Whitthorne Middle School in Columbia, TN. She began her high school years at Maplewood High School in Nashville, TN, where she later completed her high school education at Springfield High School in Springfield, TN, with High Honors. During this time, she was recognized as a State of Tennessee Scholar, a World Class Student, and received High Academic Honor Awards. She furthered her education at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, where she studied Political Science for three years. She loved her studies there and never passed up the opportunity to have a conversation about politics. She was a manager at Sudden Service for six years and later worked at Lowe’s, followed by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, where she was currently employed for one year of service.

She was known for her laid-back nature, balanced perfectly with a fun and adventurous spirit. A deep thinker at heart, she often saw the world from a perspective that was thoughtful, honest, and refreshingly straightforward. She spoke her truth with clarity and kindness, earning the respect and trust of everyone who knew her.

Her love for travel took her across the world, creating lasting memories in places such as Paris, Amsterdam, and cities throughout Canada. Whether wandering city streets or taking in new landscapes, she found beauty in exploration and meaning in every journey. Closer to home, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved hiking and being surrounded by nature, where she could reflect and recharge. She also had a playful, creative side—spending time building intricate Lego creations. That love lives on in the Lego flower bouquets she shared with her wife, which now brighten their home as a lasting symbol of her creativity and affection.

She was deeply loved by her family. Her wife was her partner in all things, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions. She was also a beloved daughter, remembered fondly by her mother, who always said she was a great driver, deemed the “Highway Hog”—a small but meaningful testament to her steady, capable nature.

She will be remembered for her honesty, her quiet strength, her sense of humor, and the way she made people feel comfortable simply being themselves. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to live on in the stories, the travels, and the love she shared so freely.
