Otis Mcalister

Otis Hopson McAlister, age 92 of Springfield passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.

Mr. McAlister was born on July 1, 1928 to the late Otis and Sudie McAlister in Christian Co, Kentucky. He joined the United states Army and owned his own mechanic shop “McAlister Garage” on North Main. Mr. McAlister enjoyed working hard to provide a good life for his family and in his spare time enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McAlister is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gene Porter Stewart McAlister; daughter, Wanda Sue Deibert and sons, Eddie Mac McAlister and Hoppie McAlister.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Duryee of Amarillo, Texas and Lynne McAlister of Springfield; 11 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
