Rena Street Black, age 56 of Toccoa, Georgia and formerly of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on December 17, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Rena Kay Street was born on September 12, 1962 at Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, TN to Velma Street and James Street. She is a graduate of Jo Byrns High School and had a double major in Accounting and Business.
Rena was a sweet and kind person always thinking of other before herself. She married Ronald C. Black on April 20, 1979 and had two sons, Nicholas and Jonathan. She devoted her life to her family and grandchildren. Rena loved making crafts and staying busy and had a love for God that was never ending.
Rena is preceded in death by her father, James Burton Street and father-in-law, Percy Black.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years Ronnie; her two sons, Nicholas (Candle) Black and Jonathan Black; mother, Velma Jean (Cecil) Sherrill; siblings, Doug Hitchon, Jimmy (Leslie) Street and Sherry Street (Bill) Washington; grandchildren, Jet Black and Lily Black and mother-in-law, Peggy Black.
A Life Celebration at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Springfield Funeral Home with her brother Jimmy Street officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Sango Cemetery at a later date.
