Robert Leroy Crabtree Jr. of Greenbrier, Tennessee, passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, on September 19, 1933, Robert worked at DuPont for 28 years before retiring in 1993. In the years that followed, he enjoyed spending his downtime hunting, fishing, and mowing his grass.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Crabtree, and sisters Minnie Crabtree, Patsy Crabtree, Sue Ryan, and Alice Hoback.

Robert leaves behind a large family who knew him as “Pappy.” He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Faye, his four sons, David (Laura), Danny (Jill), Dennis, and Dale (Rosie), seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Nancy (Freddie) Marrison, brother-in-law Don Harris and dear friend Mary Davis.

The family will receive visitors at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on July 17 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Jon Briggs officiating and burial to follow. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
