Robert "Bob" C. Reese- age 77 went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2014. Bob was born in Gallatin, TN to the late Robert and Florence Reese. Bob opened Windy City Barber Shop in Chicago, IL in 1956 and owned it until 1972. He then moved back to Hendersonville and opened Town and Country Barber Shop, now Bob Reese Barber Shop, which is still in operation. In 1977 he became an Ordained General Baptist Minster. His family meant everything especially his wife Helen who was the love of his life. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen Reese; sons, James R. Reese (Bernice) and David W. Reese (Brenda Jay); daughter, Allyson Nicole Rhinehart (Willy); grandchildren, James R. Reese, Kayla Cherie Dorris, Christopher Escue, Kaitelynne Cook and Tracy, Seth and Mary Rhinehart; great-grandchildren, Helena Walker, Hayden and Riley Dorris and Braxton Cook. sister, Betty McQuiston of Chicago.
Active pallbearers will be Seth Rhinehart, James Reese, Jim Reese, David Reese, and Willy Rhinehart. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends of Bob Reese Barber Shop.
A life celebration service will be held on Monday June 16, 2014 at 1p.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 15, 2014 from 1-8pm and Monday from 11-1pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any branch of Regions Bank.
