Roger Lee Burton, Sr.-age 71, of Hendersonville passed away December 22, 2013. Roger was born to the late Travis and Elizabeth Burton on June 18, 1942 in Princeton West Virginia. He retired from Freightline in Nashville, TN after 30 years of service. He was a long time member of Living Word Fellowship in Hendersonville. Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will forever be remembered for being a loving husband and proud father whose humor will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Burton; sons, Roger Lee Burton, Jr of Madison, TN and Brian Scott Burton of Kingston Springs, TN; A Life Celebration service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Steve Lowe and Robby Kirkham officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8p.m. and on Friday from 12-1pm at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 E.
