Ronnie Douglas Cox, age 81, of Greenbrier, TN passed away on August 5th 2026 at NHC in Springfield, TN. Mr. Cox was born on May 22nd 1945, in Springfield to the late Clarence Washington and Martha Katherine Cox. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Martha Mink, Louise Rippy, and Sue Rogers, brothers Clifford Cox, Bobby Cox, and Ricky Cox.
He was a tool and die machinist for Precision Products in Springfield, TN up until his retirement. Ronnie was a member of the armed forces; serving in the United States Army and the TN National Guard Reserve for eight years.
As a person, he was very gentle, loving, and caring. This was shown in the way that he was towards his wife and his grandchildren. To Ronnie, his family was one of his biggest accomplishments in life.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing in all of the good spots around town. When he was able, he and his wife enjoyed taking trips to casinos. The two share many memories of trips together to Harrah’s in Metropolis, IL, and Kentucky Downs Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin, KY.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Judy Dalton Cox of Greenbrier, TN; son Mark Cox a.k.a Jade Arcade of Canada; grandson Alex Arcade of Lebanon, TN; sister Cheryl (Cox) Blankenship and Don of Clarksville, TN; brother in law George Roger of Orlinda, TN, brother and sister in law John and Beverly Evans of Greenbrier, TN; brother and sister in law Gary and Diane Mayo of Greenbrier, TN; sister in law Joyce Justice of Greenbrier, TN; sister in law Janet Cox of Springfield, TN; and sister in law Shirley Cox of Portland, TN.
Pallbearers for Mr. Ronnie Cox are to include: Clint Mayo, Corey Mayo, Jonathan (JB) Evans, Chad Justice, Alex Arcade, and James Pope.
Although Ronnie has gone before them, his memory will forever reside within their hearts. A graveside service will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd., Springfield, TN 37172, on Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 3pm.
