Rose Mary Yates

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Mary Yates, who departed this life on October18, 2025, in Nashville. Born on August 3, 1946, in Springfield, Tennessee, Rose was a vibrant soul, known for her outgoing personality and fiery spirit. As a dedicated housewife, she took care of everything, making her home a warm and loving haven for her family.

Rose's life was filled with cherished memories, especially her joyful travels and time spent in Panama City Beach. She was not just a mother and wife; she was a firecracker, bringing excitement to every gathering. Her love for her family and her strong faith were evident in all aspects of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, William Yates, as well as her children, Major (Kim) Yates, Terry (Diane) Yates, and Teresa (Jimmy) Payne. Rose also leaves behind her siblings, Dwight (Lisa) Moore and Mary (Tommy) Moore, alongside a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Louise Moore, as well as her children, William V Yates and Mary L Moore. Her siblings, Diane Scharkley, Intia Pennington, and Roy Moore, have also welcomed her into eternal rest.

Rose had a zest for life that was reflected in her hobbies; she enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing, and embracing any dares thrown her way. She loved fishing with her husband, William, and spent her days creating memories with loved ones.

A visitation will be held on October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, TN. This will be followed by a graveside service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, TN, starting at 1:00 PM.

Rose Mary Yates will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
