Shirley Marie Bellamy, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of the community, passed away on April 13, 2024. Born on November 16, 1935, Shirley led a life filled with unwavering love and dedication to her family.

After graduating from Isaac Litton High School in 1954, Shirley embarked on a career that saw her working for many years as an operator at BellSouth and later at AT&T. Her strong work ethic and determination were evident in everything she pursued.

Shirley was known for her creative spirit and strong faith. She found joy in quilting, sewing, and cake decorating, showcasing her artistic talents in various forms. Her passion for these hobbies reflected her attention to detail and craftsmanship.

A proud Air Force wife, Shirley supported her husband during his deployments while also raising their children with grace and strength. Her independence and sassy personality endeared her to all who knew her. She was a member of Rock Springs but had recently been attending Grace Baptist Church, where she found comfort in her faith community.

One of Shirley's proudest accomplishments was raising a loving family. She poured her heart into creating memorable experiences for her grandchildren, often traveling with them to attend their games. Shirley's ability to accomplish anything she set her mind to was a testament to her resilience and determination.

Shirley will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved children, Ross Steven (YMary) Bellamy, Richard Shawn (Gayla) Bellamy, Shelia R. (Randy) Pearson, Jennifer (Casey) Stokes and Angelea (Chris) Yurchak; grandchildren, Christopher (Tina) Bellamy, Kristen (John) Crowder, Mary Elizabeth (Daniel) Ley, Richard (Kindy) Bellamy, Amanda (Josh) Spain, Dustin Baird, Daniel (Nicole) Baird, Michael (Kelsie) Bellamy, Alyssa Bellamy, Troy (Jessica) Pearson, Wade (Maecey) Pearson, Kayla (Brandon) Weimer, Ava (Mitchell) Burnell, Summer McLane, Rory (Ray) Green, Tristen (Preston) Medley and Aiden Yurchak; 23 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ross Bellamy; parents, D. Lytle and Nannie Ruth Dixon Pearce; siblings, Roy Pearce, Ray Pearce and Connie Ritchie.

Services to honor and celebrate Shirley's life will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, TN. Visitation will take place on April 17th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on April 18th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. The burial will then be conducted at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville at 3:00 PM.
