Susan "Susie" Pulley, age 58 passed away at her home in Springfield on Friday, March 8, 2019.
She was born on July 26, 1960 to Willard and June Faye Dorris in Nashville, TN. She graduated in 1978 from Greenbrier High School where she played basketball and softball. Susie worked for many years as a first responder for Robertson County EMS. She had a servant heart for taking care of those in need.
Susie was described as a spunky woman full of life. She loved her family and grandchildren. She had a passion for horses, antiques, traveling, and business adventures. She owned a shoe store, sold Merle Norman makeup and finally applied to become an Appraiser of Antiques. Her home was full of unique relics that she collected over the many years.
Susie enjoyed traveling to exotic destination including the Virgin Islands and recently to the Grand Turk and Caicos with Jodi, Todd, Tate and Emri on a Disney Cruise. Yet she was just as content on a horse riding near Soddy Daisy or through the woods of Hohenwald TN. She loved to be outside enjoying Gods creations with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Willard and June Faye Dorris.
Susie is survived by her loving husband Don Pulley; daughter, Jodi (Todd) Ballard; stepson, Brian (Ashley) Pulley; grandchildren, Tate Ballard, Emri Ballard, Ava Pulley and Henry Pulley; and brother, Lesley "Bubba" Dorris.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Adam Hodges and Brother John Briggs. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 12pm until the time of service.
The family request donation be made to a church or charity of your choice in memory of Susie.
