In addition to her accomplishments and hobbies, Sylvia was a dedicated Christian and relied on her faith. She sang in the choir at Lone Oak Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully, never missing an opportunity to be present when its doors swung open.

Sylvia is now reunited with her loving husband, Ray N. Frey, who preceded her in death.
