Warren Victor Wing

Warren Victor Wing, age 82, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at Tri-Star Skyline Hospital in Nashville, TN. Per his wishes, there will be no services, and a burial will happen at a later date.

Warren was born on December 13, 1942, in Maquoketa, Iowa. He was the son of Arthur Ralph and Anna Marie (Isbel) Wing. Warren grew up in rural Delmar, Iowa and attended local schools including Delmar High School.

Warren farmed in rural Delmar near his parents and grandparents until 1975. He then worked at Farmall in the Quad Cities and lived in Davenport and Wilton. Later he was a supervisor and manager in various manufacturing companies in Illinois and Tennessee. He also owned and operated a landscaping business in northern Illinois. One of his treasured times was the year he helped his grandson Bobby in his farming operation in rural Wilton. Warren was always a farmer at heart. His work ethic was unmatched. He enjoyed fishing in Minnesota in his younger days and his constant communication with his children and grandchildren via texting was a passion, including many trips back to Wilton. Four of his descendants carry his name. He loved his pets and his lazy summer evenings visiting on his daughter Vicki’s front porch.

Warren will be dearly missed by his six daughters Stephanie (Tim) McNeill of Tipton, IA, Vicki (Jeff) Kaufmann of Wilton, IA, Jennifer (Gary) Grimm of Cambridge, IA, Michelle Reittinger of Ely, IA, Angie Williams of Kansas City, MO, and Christina Wing of MN; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and his sister, Mary Wing of Shullsburg, WI. Warren is also survived by his loving fiancé of 16 years Ann Young, bonus children Charles (Leanne) Young, Paul (Lorna) Young, with 8 bonus grandchildren and 5 bonus great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers David and James Wing, his grandson Curtis Warren Kaufmann and great grandson Abel McNeill.
